Guitarist Larry Miller is undeniably one of the must see blues/rock acts. He is famous for his mesmerising guitar playing and rip roaring shows in the UK and around Europe, bringing his unique showmanship and energy to every performance. He holds the record for the most encores at The Cambridge Rock Festival, returning the following two years to capacity crowds and standing ovations. He was recorded live at The Great British R&B Festival by the BBC and this was broadcast on Radio 2 and more recently they have featured his new album ‘On The Edge’. In 2012 he has been in high demand with appearances at major festivals including headlining The Rory Gallagher International Festival in Ireland.

Larry Miller has released 7 albums, all of which have had critical acclaim. The latest album ‘On The Edge’ is full of intense passion, power, exciting guitar playing with both rockers and ballads. Larry Miller claims to be a song writer foremost and this album is one hell of a listen where the songs get equal billing with the guitar playing. "Nine elegantly crafted compositions provide sturdy foundations for that deep, expressive soloing style of his and we, for one, are sold. Blues-rock brilliance." Guitar & Bass magazine. "A rock album with blues undertones; and it's brilliant" Classic Rock Society. “The new Gary Moore” Radio Caroline.

Larry Miller’s band features the experienced, powerful driving rhythm section of Simon Baker on drums and Derek White on bass plus keyboards from Ian Salisbury. Larry will be playing songs from his new album plus his acclaimed album ‘Unfinished Business’ as well as live favourites. If you like Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Walter Trout or Hendrix, you’ll want to see Larry Miller.

+ SUPPORT BY TIMSHEL

Already a well-known name on the rock circuit in Southampton, Timshel have been honing their bluesy brand of rock ‘n’ roll for a while now but since being rejoined by Rob Litten on drums they have really found their groove.

The Black Crowes fronted by “Vs” era Eddie Vedder with Jimmy Page on guitar goes some way to describing the sound but in no way does it justice. There are touches of Blind Melon, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith - basically it is a melting pot of the rock illuminati.

Fronted by James Carey (who possesses the kind of voice that can only come from just the right mix of cigarettes and alcohol) they are watertight 4 piece, Paul Carter and Rob provide the foundation for Jami to build on with some truly amazing guitar work. Each song is crafted with a keen ear for melody and obeying the unwritten rule of rock, always have a chorus with a monster hook with a sing-a-long refrain!

Their back catalogue is extensive and houses some rock classics in waiting such as The Gate, Christmas Tree, Southpaw and hard rock stomp of Blame as well as the soaring High Angel. The Timshel faithful are already well aware of the sheer power of a live performance but I have seen at first hand the effect of these tracks on an unsuspecting audience, there is something quite rewarding about watching an entire room being won over by the rock behemoth that is the Timshel live show!

The band have been together for over ten years, during which time they have played with such artists as ‘Splodgenessabounds’, ‘Larry Miller’, ‘John ‘Rhino’ Edwards’ and ‘Wishbone Ash’.
