The Floyd Effect (rescheduled date)

Saturday 20 March 2021 at 7:30 pm

Reviews:

The Floyd Effect are a band you NEED to see live. Check out their website and get to see them this year. You will be blown away.

The Floyd Effect are not only the best tribute band we have ever seen, they are the best band we have ever seen.

As a show this was as good as it gets. The timing, delivery and recreation of the Floyd sound was faultless, and many tracks took me to places I had forgotten existed as the sound washed over me.

Thought we’d give Aussie Floyd a miss this year and come to see you guys instead. I have to tell you, we were blown away. Note perfect for nearly three hours. Excellent musicianship, what a voice, and your ladies, spot on.

We couldn’t get over what brilliant musicians you all are and the girls, well… wow, what can I say!! Credit where it’s due, you’re all fabulous!!

Unbelievable! I heard The Floyd Effect for the first time last night. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. Terrific music brilliantly performed reducing me to tears. I did not ever expect to hear this wonderful music performed live in this way. Thank you for a truly fabulous evening. Unforgettable.

I’ve been a Floyd fan all my life and tonight’s performance was as good as, if not better than, listening to the original albums.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Pitch perfect. Very entertaining and indistinguishable from the original band. Very talented musicians, with a superb light show. They raised the roof. Oh… and the backing singers’ solos were off the scale.

Best tribute band I’ve seen, and I’ve seen the lot.

I was totally blown away by your concert tonight. I have seen other tribute Floyd bands but you guys were amazing and funny as well! Just a total fabulous show. I felt I was having my own

concert with the real Floyd, no lies! Girls’ voices outstanding! Three hours – how did you do it?

I had the good fortune to see the original Pink Floyd twice. The Floyd Effect are as good as the original line up and, with the intimacy of the venue, it’s like being in the front row. They were stupendous. I would urge any Floyd fan to make the effort to see them. You will be elated.

The Dark Side of Reason Tour 2019-20

The Floyd Effect – “The Pink Floyd Show”

The music of Pink Floyd as it was meant to be experienced

There are tribute bands and then there are tribute bands… With members who have worked with the likes of David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Jon Bon Jovi, Brian Adams and Keith Emerson, and others

who have performed on Broadway and in the Royal Albert Hall, The Floyd Effect isn’t just a bunch of enthusiasts who love the music of Pink Floyd, it’s a band of the highest calibre that loves the

music of Pink Floyd.

Following their Wall Around The Moon tour that sold out in theatres up and down the country throughout 2019, and after headline performances at festivals in England and Cyprus, The Floyd

Effect will be returning in 2020 with The Dark Side Of Reason. This highlights Pink Floyd’s multiplatinum 1987 release, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, the album that re-launched the band and

saw its sell-out worldwide tour scale greater heights than ever before. Described by Sounds as “back over the wall to where diamonds are crazy, moons have dark sides, and mothers have atom

hearts’, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason also forms the core of a Pink Floyd box set released in November 2019, Pink Floyd: The Later Years, so The Floyd Effect’s timing couldn’t be better. The Dark Side Of Reason will also feature a complete, unbroken performance of the iconic Dark Side Of The Moon as well as tracks from seminal albums including Wish You Were Here and The Wall. There will even be a nod toward Pink Floyd’s post-psychedelic era with music from their transitional album, Meddle, which marked the final chapter of the post-Barrett 1960s Pink

Floyd and the first chapter in their inexorable march to becoming perhaps the most significant band of the 1970s and 1980s.

Rightly renowned for the remarkable accuracy with which it performs the Pink Floyd canon, The Floyd Effect faithfully recreates the music and intensity of a Pink Floyd concert without recourse to racks of computers and other technological wizardry. Each performance is a genuine ‘live’ event supported by a dramatic light show that incorporates the iconic circular screen together with two sets of projections that make it a powerful and emotional experience.

Sit back and enjoy The Floyd Effect as the band takes you on a journey through the music of Pink Floyd. Unless you were there the first time around, it was never as real as this.
