Wimborne Drama Productions present Agatha Christie’s The Hollow
In Agatha Christie’s 125th anniversary year, Wimborne Drama Productions present the Queen of Crime’s 1951 stage play The Hollow. Adapted from the book of the same name published in 1946, The Hollow is a classic murder-mystery thriller. Family and friends gather for the weekend at the ‘The Hollow’, the country home of Sir Henry and Lady Angkatell. Among the guests is Dr John Christow. He is accompanied by his wife, Gerda, but intriguingly also present are Christow’s mistress Henrietta Angkatell and his ex-lover Veronica Craye. To complicate matters further, visiting as well are Edward Angkatell, who is in love with Henrietta (his cousin), and Midge Harvey, who loves Edward. When these tangled romantic circumstances result in the murder of one of the house party, there are any number of suspects. Enter Inspector Colquhoun and Sergeant Penny to try to unravel the mess. Directed by David Pile.
